Leila Rooshenas is a Professor in Social Medicine and Health Policy. She is a workstream lead for the surgical and orthopaedic innovation theme and a theme lead for research capacity and development in the Bristol BRC.
Her research focuses on understanding social processes that shape generation and implementation of evidence, particularly in relation to invasive procedures. Leila has a particular interest in reducing over-treatment and ensuring robust evaluation of innovation before it becomes embedded practice.
