Joint replacement research shortlisted for ONS Research Excellence Award

  • 17 September 2019

Joint replacement research from the NIHR Bristol Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) is one of only four projects shortlisted for the Office for National Statistics (ONS) Research Excellence Award 2019.

The award recognises and celebrate outstanding innovative research carried out using ONS data, or data the ONS makes available on behalf of others, to deliver a public benefit to the UK.

The shortlisted research, led by Dr Erik Lenguerrand, examines the outcomes of revision surgery to manage infections which can occur as a result of joint replacement surgery.

The overall winner of the Research Excellence Award will be announced at the ONS’s Data Capability event on Thursday 17 October at Central Hall Westminster, London.
