Charlotte is the BRC Chief Operating Officer and leads the core management team, with overall responsibility for strategic development and operational management. She works closely with senior leaders in the BRC and partner organisations to successfully deliver the BRC’s strategic objectives.
Prior to joining the NIHR Bristol BRC, she was the Head of Health Protection Research within the Department of Health and Social Care, with strategic oversight for health protection research commissioning including research infrastructure (NIHR Health Protection Research Units and NIHR Blood and Transplant Research Units). She has previously held strategic and senior roles within government regulatory and research funding agencies.
