Celebrating 20 years of research
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).
Since its inception in 2006 the NIHR has been at the heart of health and care research in the UK. The NIHR’s work would not be possible without the dedication of everyone involved – from research participants, public partners and contributors, carers, healthcare professionals, clinicians, academics, industry, charities and partners across the health and care research system.

This event celebrates all that has been achieved together, and the impact it has had on the UK’s health research ecosystem. The NIHR will be marking some of their most significant achievements, reflecting on shared successes and looking forward to the future.
The event will be delivered in a hybrid format, offering attendees the flexibility to join us either in person or online.
Book your place
Attendance is free, but to attend in person you must be affiliated with an NIHR unit or centre (such as a Health Protection Research Unit, Biomedical Research Centre, Applied Research Collaboration etc.).
