About the event
Mental illness often starts in adolescence and during such formative years the impact can be wide-reaching.
During this research conversation Sophie Fairweather will talk about her work on how we can predict who is at high/low risk of depression and anxiety using information that is accessible in different community based settings in the UK. For example, schools and GP practices.
Taking this approach could improve how young people’s mental health is addressed as better prediction is an opportunity for early intervention and prevention.
