Bristol IVF study (Brist-IVF)

The Bristol IVF Study has been set up to investigate factors associated with the success of IVF treatment.

We are recruiting women, and their partners, undergoing IVF treatment at the Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine (BCRM). We are asking participants to answer a short questionnaire, have height, weight and blood pressure measured and to provide blood and urine samples.

We are also inviting individuals/couples who become pregnant following IVF treatment to attend pregnancy clinics at the University of Bristol to help us to understand more about the impact of IVF treatment on short and longer term outcomes on women, their partners and children conceived via IVF.

Read our patient information sheet.

The study is being led by Professor Debbie Lawlor and Dr Amy Taylor at the University of Bristol and by Valentine Akande at the BCRM.

Alison Kirby is our research midwife. If you are interested in joining the study or if you have any questions, please contact Alison:
